Do I need to be a member to sell artworks in the Studio Gallery?

​

Yes. If you are a visual artist and wish to sell artworks, prints, wares etc in the Studio Gallery you do need to be a member. If you are a local maker of other gifts and homewares please get in touch as we also like to stock these kinds of items, although at an increased consignment percentage to members.

But I paid for a membership a few years ago, is that still valid?

Unfortunately not. Geelong Illustrators has always worked on an annual membership in the past and will continue to do so, with memberships having to be renewed each year if you wish to remain with us. Towards the end of your yearly membership, we will send out reminders for renewal.

​

Why has the membership price increased?

​

With a restructure of membership inclusions, comes increased prices to cover costs. We want to promote, connect and showcase you, the artist!

As well as the catch ups and cafe opportunities in the past, memberships now include a website listing, promotion on our social media accounts, as well as exhibitions and workshops throughout the year.

We are continually working on expanding the opportunities available to members and to help grow our already supportive community, as well as be more active in promoting members.

 

Do I have to live in Geelong to be a member?

​

You don't have to live right in the CBD, but at least be from suburbs or surrounding regions of the City of Greater Geelong. This can include Borough of Queenscliffe, the Surf Coast, and northern suburbs like Lara etc. We require your suburb in the application, so if you aren't sure, you can apply anyway, or contact us and ask.

At Geelong Illustrators, we want to support and connect locally, with any events and workshops being held around the Geelong region, and all venues and businesses we collaborate with are generally Geelong based.

It also makes catch ups and events easier for you, when you don't have to travel far.

So how do I join?

 

Head to our membership page to submit your application along with 3 low res images & your logo and let us do the rest!

If your application is approved we will send you an invoice and your membership will commence at the term you sign up for.
